What is a Cricut Maker 3?

A Cricut Maker 3 is a cutting machine that can cut over 300 materials, from the most delicate fabric and paper to matboard and leather. It has tools for cutting, writing, scoring, foiling & embellishing.

Booking Policy

PLEASE NOTE: By using the Cricut Maker 3 machine, the user is certifying that they are capable of using the machine in a safe and proper manner. Makerspace staff can make available manuals or other instructional material; however, they are not experts on the use of the machine.

The Makerspace provides these materials upon request, availability and within reason. See the list of materials available to use with the Cricut Maker. You will have to provide any other Cricut material with its accompanying Cricut Blade or Tip. 

Current tools available: Premium Fine-Point Blade and Scoring Wheel Tip.

Getting Started

  • If you are new to the Cricut Maker 3 machine, read this user manual or watch these video tutorials that provide you with an introduction to the machine and Cricut Design Space. 
  • Then create a Cricut Learn Account!
  • Get familiar with the machine by taking these short courses on Crafting and on Cricut Design Space. The Cricut Design Space is a software that allows you to create or find a design that can be read and cut by the machine. The software can be downloaded on a desktop and it is also available as an App.
  • Download the Cricut Design Space software and create an account! To cut your designs, you can connect your laptop or mobile to the machine via Bluetooth.
