Emerging Technology

Use the Janome Skyline S9 machine for both sewing and embroidery. Send embroidery designs directly from an iPad or computer to the machine, or use designs stored on the machine. 

Book the Janome Skyline S9 sewing & embroidery machine to use in the Makerspace for up to 2 hours per day. 

• If you have never used the sewing machine before: Visit the library makerspace to sign a Makerspace Equipment Use Agreement and gain booking privileges. 
• If you have used the sewing machine before, please check the availability and then please book the sewing machine online at the Progress Library.

PLEASE NOTE: By using the sewing machine, the user is certifying that they are capable of using the machine in a safe and proper manner. Makerspace staff can make available manuals or other instructional material; however, they are not experts on the use of the machine.  

Some materials including thread, embroidery hoops, needles and pins may be available in the makerspace. Fabric will not be provided.
