For me, model + rocketry began at Dickson Public School, in Cambridge, Ontario. Our grade 5 teacher, Mr. Metcalfe, took his class out into the concrete yard one afternoon and set-off a spectacular rocketry demonstration. I was hooked! In addition to the success of the rocketry club, it was an added bonus that Mr. Metcalfe closely resembled a popular action figure at the time, G.I. Joe! Can't think of a better combination!
