Unless otherwise indicated, the data in this report pertain to the First Nations population living off reserve aged 15 and older. The analysis is based on a sample of 8,801 First Nations people, representing an estimated population of 405,475 First Nations people living in Canada in private households. Where available and applicable, comparable data are presented for the total population of Canada.
