Effective Study Strategies

Not all study strategies are created equal. In fact, a lot of commonly-used study strategies give students the illusion of knowing the material but in reality produce poor results on tests or other assessments. What matters is not just how much time you've spent on studying the material, but also how you go about doing it and what you can actually do at the end of your study session. The study strategies described here are research-backed study strategies you should use to truly master the material you are learning. Often, these study strategies feel "harder" and require more planning and effort by the student, but don't worry. Your hard work will pay off!

If you'd like to know more about any of these study strategies, book an appointment with a Learning Strategist.
