Geospatial Data and GIS - LIO Warehouse

The Centennial College Library is a member of the Ontario Geospatial Data Exchange (OGDE).

Instructions for LIO Data Access:

Step 1: Connect to the LIO Metadata Management Tool to search or browse the LIO Inventory.

Step 2: Select Open Data on the left menu to view a list of all the open data.

Step 3: Select the data you want and click Download or refer to the Open Data Refresh Report

Step 4: Contact Sarah Shujah, Librarian using your Centennial email address for data sets NOT available as Open Data.  

Include the following information in your email:

1. the title and abstract from the LIO search
2. your name and course code

 Note: The request can take 2 days to 2 weeks depending on the file size of the data. 

Once the data is received, the librarian will provide instructions for accessing the data.

Note, that currently the library is unable to assist students with using geospatial data, using ArcGIS software, or other similar analysis of data. Please refer to your professor for assistance.
