There’s a reason SketchUp is synonymous with friendly and forgiving 3D modeling software: we don’t sacrifice usability for the sake of functionality. Start by drawing lines and shapes. Push and pull surfaces to turn them into 3D forms. Stretch, copy, rotate and paint to make anything you like. If you want to be productive within a couple of hours, you’ve come to the right place.
MakerBot's Thingiverse is a thriving design community for discovering, making, and sharing 3D printable things. As the world's largest 3D printing community, we believe that everyone should be encouraged to create and remix 3D things, no matter their technical expertise or previous experience. In the spirit of maintaining an open platform, all designs are encouraged to be licensed under a Creative Commons license, meaning that anyone can use or alter any design.
TRIZ (Theory of Inventive Problem Solving) was created by engineers, for engineers (so we can be confident that it works) and it works for everyone. TRIZ is a problem solving toolkit; the principal TRIZ tools direct us to find all the ways of solving a problem, to find new concepts and the routes for developing new products. TRIZ offers systematic innovation; by learning TRIZ and following its rules we can accelerate creative problem solving for both individuals and project teams.
