Your Research

Activate your library account before you begin your research!
An active account will allow you to use library E-Resources from home.

The most important first step when you begin to do research is to

read your assignment carefully

This will help you to define what kind of information you need.  Are you looking for some quick facts?  Does your professor want you to do a long research paper that requires a comprehensive search for information?

Your information need will determine the information sources you use.

Your research may require you to look at many different kinds of sources.  Follow the tabs to find books, journal articles, and web sites to assist you with your research.

The E-Resources & Videos/DVDS tab suggests relevant E-Resources and provides a link to a video/DVD bibliography.

The Books tab offers suggested reference books and recommends subject headings to try.

The Web Resources tab suggests reliable web sites to use for research.
