SUSHI Credentials: How to Find Them

Where to find your SUSHI credentials (SUSHI service server end point URL, Requestor ID, Customer ID) for various database platforms.

ABOUT SUSHI CREDENTIALS

To set up a SUSHI harvester to retrieve COUNTER compliant database usage statistics, you will need to enter:

  • SUSHI server service endpoint URL (i.e. SUSHI URL)
  • Requestor ID (i.e. SUSHI username)
  • Customer ID (i.e. SUSHI password)

Instructions on where to find this information for each vendor database platform are below, and indexed on the right.  Some of these instructions apply only to Ontario colleges.

ACM Digital Library

  1. Login to admin module.
  2. Click “SUSHI” at top right and fill in “Create SUSHI Account” form to get the SUSHI credentials.

Alexander Street Press

  1. Login to admin module
  2. Click on "Menu" (top left) > "Statistics" > "COUNTER" 
  3. Click “SUSHI” at top right and fill in “Create SUSHI Account” form to get the SUSHI credentials.

Cambridge

  1. SUSHI URL = http://sushi.cambridge.org/GetReport 
  2. Login to admin account (top right).
  3. Under “My account” select “Usage statistics”.
    Requester ID and Customer ID should be listed for your institution.

  1. Login to admin module.
  2. Click “Usage Statistics” tab.
  3. Click on the link at the bottom that says: “The COUNTER reports above can be also retrieved in XML format using the SUSHI protocol. Click here for more information.”
  4. The next screen will have the URL, your college’s Requestor ID and Customer ID.

EBSCOhost

  1. Login to admin module.
  2. Your Customer ID is your EBSCO account number, at top right
    e.g. “Current Site: INSTITUTION NAME (s9999999)”
  3. Click on “Reports & Statistics” tab.
  4. Click on “SUSHI Authentication” tab.
  5. The SUSHI credentials will be on that page. If there is no Requestor ID, click “Generate New ID”.

Elsevier

Gale Cengage

  2. Requestor ID is your Gale account name, which is usually your admin account username.
    If you had a Gale account before you got a Knowledge Ontario (KO) consortium account, use that old account name, not the newer KO one.
  3. Customer ID = loc=[your Gale location code]. You must include the “loc=” in the Customer ID.
    If you have a Knowledge Ontario consortium account, use that code. KO accounts start with ”ko_acd_”

  2. Login to admin account (top right). 
  3. From the menu at top right, click "Usage Statistics".
  4. Scroll down to “Sushi Account Information”.
    Requester ID and Customer ID should be listed for your institution.

Lexis Nexis

  1. Login to admin module.
  2. Click on the "SUSHI Links" tab for instructions.

Mark Allen Group (MAG Online)

  1. Login to admin account (top right).
  2. Click on account name (top right).
  3. At left, click on "Institutional Account" - "USAGE REPORTS"
  4. SUSHI credentials will appear.

Ovid

  1. SUSHI URL = https://ovidspstats.ovid.com/scripts/osp.wsc/sushi_wsdl.p
  2. Requestor ID = [admin account username]/[admin account password]
    Example: janedoe@yourcollege.ca/myovidpassword
  3. Customer ID = [Ovid account number]
    You may have to contact support@ovid.com to get this number.

Oxford University Press

  1. Login to admin module.
  2. Click “COUNTER” (left side).
  3. Click “Go to COUNTER 4 reports”.
  4. Click “SUSHI” at top right and fill in “Create SUSHI Account” form to get the SUSHI credentials.

Project MUSE

  1. Login to admin module.
  2. Click on your college name.
  3. SUSHI credentials will appear at the bottom of the page.

ProQuest

  1. SUSHI URL = https://sushi.search.proquest.com/CounterSushi/SushiWebService?wsdl
  2. Requestor ID and Customer ID = [your ProQuest account number]
    To find your account number, it is embedded in your ProQuest database URLs as “accountid=99999”.

ProQuest Ebook Central

  1. Login to admin module.
    • The admin module URL is unique to each subscriber but will be in this form:
      https://[your account name].ebookcentral.proquest.com/libCentral/
    • To find your account name, it is embedded in your database access URL:
      https://ebookcentral.proquest.com/lib/[your account name]/
  2. At top right, “Settings” > “System”.
  3. Your SUSHI credentials will be on that page.

Psychiatry Online

  1. Login to admin module.
  2. On the right side bar, click on "Usage Reports".
  3. SUSHI credentials will appear on the page.

SAE Mobilus

  1. SUSHI URL = (according to the vendor, this is forthcoming)
  2. Requestor ID and Customer ID = [your account number]
    To find your account number, login to the admin module. The "ID Number" will appear on that page.

Sage

  1. SUSHI URL = http://securecenter.sagepub.com/sushi/counterservice4_0.svc
  2. Login to admin module.
  3. Click on usage icon (bar graph).
  4. Scroll to the bottom of the page for your Requestor ID, in the sentence that starts, “View Sushi Service wsdl…”.
  5. Customer ID = Requestor ID

Springer

  1. SUSHI URL = http://services.springer.com/sushi
  2. Customer ID = [your "Business Partner ID", login to the admin module to see it]
  3. Requestor ID = [can be anything, but the vendor recommends using your email address]

  2. Login to admin account (top right).
  3. Click on “Account settings” (top right).
  4. Scroll down to “Institutional Account” and click “Usage reports”.
    Requester ID and Customer ID should be listed for your institution.

Wiley Online Library

  1. Login to admin account (top right).
  2. Click on account name (top right), and choose "Institutional Administration".
    The "Customer ID" is the Requestor ID and Customer ID.
  3. Click on "Usage Reports" (sidebar).  The SUSHI URL will appear on the page.
